The Good Grub

TK Burgers!
TK Burgers … aka… The King Burgers … aka… Totally Killer Burgers … aka… T-Rex Kamikaze Burgers… whatever it is, this place lights a fire inside The Good Grub’s belly that makes us want to pick up shop and move down to the OC.  Our Grub-buddy Ryan C. has been thriving down in Huntington Beach since college, surfing it up and chowing down on a steady diet of melt-in-your-mouth TK burgers.  What makes the TK so great?  Well as it comes to most things in life … My anaconda don’t want none, unless you’ve got buns, hun.  The brahs (yeah, we’re hip to the surfer groove) down at TK take heed to this simple virtue; that’s why they bring to the party a fluffy-but-not-chewy,  crispy-but-not-dry, delicious-but-not … um… un-delicious? …  burger bun to act as the ring leader of this flavor circus.  Because that’s exactly what the TK Burger is … a thick, juicy burger smothered in special sauce, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, grilled red onions, and if you’re Ry-Guy … some fries stuck right in for good measure.  With each bite of the burger and each dunk of the crispy, double-dipped (not sure if they are, but damn they’re tasty) fries into the extra side of special sauce, takes us one step deeper down the path to GRUB-enlightenment.  And if the food wasn’t enough, one of our favorite things about this place is ... brace yourself … the ice.  Yeah, the ice. Because TK (along with other GRUB-spots like Tito’s Tacos and Pie N’ Burger) has those tiny-little-cubes-o-ice we love so much. You know what we're talking about, the kind where it mixes with your soda and turns it into some kind of euphoric soda-slushy.  Don’t try to understand it, just go with it … and love it!  Because that’s what’s bound to happen from a trip down to TK Burgers … eventually you’ll be overwhelmed as you fall slowly head-over-heels for a burger, fries, and a cup of ice … but man, doesn’t it feel good to be in love? Especially, when the love is GRUB.
